It’s that time of the month again! This month’s theme for the Tacoma Cult Movie Club is “Just Say No!” For this month’s design, we decided to do a play on one of the original theatrical posters for “Reefer Madness,” the drug movie of all drug movies. This month’s poster design can be seen below (click on it for higher resolution version), and the original poster design can be seen here.
As always, the event will be held at the Acme Grub Cage. Admission and popcorn are free, but you must provide your own beverages. Check it out!

We are very happy to be a part of the Tacoma Cult Movie Club. They are a wonderful group of people with great tastes in movies.
Check back every month for announcements on their new events, as well as sneak peaks at each of the posters!
This morning we’re releasing another HUGE batch of Geeks Who Drink pub trivia boards. You can check out the entire collection here (new ones have been added to the beginning).
Be sure to pick up this week’s issue of The Tacoma Weekly Volcano. It features a cover designed by and starring none other than your’s truly, Holland Hume. The full size version, in turn, can be seen here.
After sorting out the legal issues and making sure everyone was happy, we’re pleased to announce a new section devoted to our work with Geeks Who Drink.
Geeks Who Drink is a Colorado-based pub trivia company that hosts games throughout the U.S. They’re a great bunch of people and one of our favorite clients to work with.
Our founder and lead designer Holland Hume was recently featured in the local Tacoma artist’s Boogeyman Show on Friday the 13th at Jazzbones in Tacoma. The Tacoma Weekly wrote an article on it which featured a shot of Holland’s painting! This is a tremendous honor and we would like to take the time to congratulate Holland on this.
We would also like to take this time to point out a new section of the site which features Holland’s artwork. Some of the pieces are for sale. Interested buyers can contact Holland via the email on our contact page.
We finally have our ad spaces set up! What a strange thing to have as a low priority, right? ; )
If you like our site and want to support what we do, it would really help us out for you to click on our google ads on the right side of the page. It only takes two seconds, and you’re supporting a really good cause…us!
Also, make sure to visit our clients in the link box to the left (the space rotates, so every different page/refresh will come up with another client). We don’t make money from that, but they’re such cool people that we want to share them with everyone.
Holland Hume’s unique cell phone design that was made for the Fujitsu Mobile Phone Design Awards 2009 has found some new global fans! The fine people at the Estonian site Developers Team had a lot to say about Holland’s concept design. The entire article can be read here:
We’ve recently finished a short web spot for our friends at Hip and Naughty.com, the alternative language tape group that’s sweeping the internet by storm. They’re a great bunch of guys with a great concept on their hands. We can’t wait for the Japanese volume!
You can watch the spot via youtube on our videos page, or for blip.tv support simply click the image below:
But what is Hip and Naughty? What exactly are they all about?
Confused by these fine people’s testimonials? Find out for yourself what all the hubbub is about at www.hipandnaughty.com. Trust us: learning a language has never been so fun (or so risqué)!
