It’s that time of the month again! This month’s theme for the Tacoma Cult Movie Club is “Just Say No!” For this month’s design, we decided to do a play on one of the original theatrical posters for “Reefer Madness,” the drug movie of all drug movies. This month’s poster design can be seen below (click on it for higher resolution version), and the original poster design can be seen here.

As always, the event will be held at the Acme Grub Cage. Admission and popcorn are free, but you must provide your own beverages. Check it out!

As of June 2010, Dead Idol Design and Productions will be the official designer of the Tacoma Cult Movie Club’s event material. This month’s theme is “Kids Do the Darnedest Things.” As always, it will be held at the Acme Grub Cage on Sunday, June 13th. Admission and popcorn are free, but you must provide your own beverages. Check out the poster below!

We are very happy to be a part of the Tacoma Cult Movie Club. They are a wonderful group of people with great tastes in movies.
Check back every month for announcements on their new events, as well as sneak peaks at each of the posters!

After sorting out the legal issues and making sure everyone was happy, we’re pleased to announce a new section devoted to our work with Geeks Who Drink.
Geeks Who Drink is a Colorado-based pub trivia company that hosts games throughout the U.S. They’re a great bunch of people and one of our favorite clients to work with.
We have way too many quizzes to show them all off (the number increases by 5-10 EVERY WEEK), but keep your eyes on this new section of our graphic design page for regular updates of our favorite quizzes done for them.
Like the quizzes? Want to know the answers? Visit the Geeks Who Drink homepage today and find a participating bar near you!

Hi guys, Holland Hume here. I decided to start talking to you guys myself on these news posts. A little more personal, don’t you think? : )
I decided to submit a design to The International Skateboard Art Competition 2009 at ArtOnGrip.com. Below is a smaller version of the design. The (semi) full resolution image can be found here.
“Even Tengus Get the Blues”
What do you think? I’d love to get your input on the design. Leave those comments and let us know what you think!
We’ll know January 15th if I win! Here’s to hoping!

Our founder and lead designer Holland Hume was recently featured in the local Tacoma artist’s Boogeyman Show on Friday the 13th at Jazzbones in Tacoma. The Tacoma Weekly wrote an article on it which featured a shot of Holland’s painting! This is a tremendous honor and we would like to take the time to congratulate Holland on this.
We would also like to take this time to point out a new section of the site which features Holland’s artwork. Some of the pieces are for sale. Interested buyers can contact Holland via the email on our contact page.

Holland Hume’s unique cell phone design that was made for the Fujitsu Mobile Phone Design Awards 2009 has found some new global fans! The fine people at the Estonian site Developers Team had a lot to say about Holland’s concept design. The entire article can be read here:

(PS For those on this side of the pond, Google Translate will be your best friend ;) )
Thanks so much, guys! Sa oled väga lahke!
